Presentation

The Revue d'Economie Politique publishes scientific research articles in all of the domains of economic analysis. Articles can be written in either English or French. In addition to the research articles which constitute the major part of the journal's content, the Revue also publishes Reviews and Essays (Bilans et Essais), where overviews of recent developments in specific areas of economic analysis appear, and a Debates and Opinions (Débats et Opinions) section, with shorter articles defending individual points of view regarding current economic problems. The Revue d'Economie Politique was first published in 1887 and has followed the various evolutions and transformation in economic thought since that time. The Revue aims to continue to play a central role in the diffusion of the results of economic research, both French and international. The Revue d'Economie Politique is published by Editions Dalloz, 31-35 rue Froidevaux, 75685 Paris cedex 14. The Tables of Contents and articles of recent volumes are accessibles via the site of the revues Dalloz (http://www.dalloz-revues.fr ). The Revue is also accessible via CAIRN.

Submission guidelines

The Revue d'Economie Politique accepts only original papers, written in French or English. An article submitted to the Revue d'Economie Politique must not be simultaneously under consideration at another journal. The Revue d'Economie Politique also publishes review articles, adapted to its readership (in the Bilans et essais section), and shorter comments on economic policy or current scientific debates (in the Débats et opinions section). Submission is electronic. Two PDF documents should be sent to the address rep@dalloz.fr.

The first PDF document should contain:

  • A front page with the names, addresses and contact details of all the authors, and the paper's title. In the case of multiple authorship, indicate the corresponding author;
  • A page containing the abstract in both English and French, keywords in both English and French, and JEL codes. Also include the title in English if the paper is in French, and vice versa.

The second PDF document should include only the title and the text of the paper.

Submissions should adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Short articles are encouraged and submission should not in any case exceed 60 000 characters (including spaces, punctuation, tables and figures), which corresponds to 20 printed pages. Articles for the Bilans et essais section should not exceed 90 000 characters, and those for the Débats et opinions section 20 000 characters.
  • Footnotes and references should be in the style of the Revue.
  • The abstract should be around 200 words long, and not contain figures, tables or equations.

All submissions are sent double-blind to two referees. Following the referees' reports, the editors may ask for a revision. This revision should be resubmitted to the Journal within three months, and will be sent back to the two original referees. After an article is definitively accepted, the authors will receive a set of proofs, which should be returned corrected within five days. No further corrections to the original text will be accepted at this stage.
